TNYIEDP – Tamil Nadu Young Innovators and Entrepreneurship Development Programme

Under the IEDP project initiated by the Entrepreneurship Development and Innovation Institute (EDII), Tamil Nadu, CED has been an active nodal centre, driving innovation-based entrepreneurship among young minds. Through this project, students and faculty were provided financial assistance, capacity-building workshops, and mentoring to take forward their entrepreneurial aspirations. CED coordinated the implementation, selection of viable ideas, and ensured effective utilization of grant support.

Presently, CED Anna University received this recognition on 16 July 2025 from Hon'ble Minister for MSME Thiru. T.M. Anbarasan - a 5 year partnership from EDII TN for implementing TNYIEDP (TamilNadu Youth Innovation and Entrepreneurship Development Programme) in all HEIs of Chennai District. Accompanied by Thiru. Ambalavanan Ramaswamy IAAS, Director, EDII-TN and Dr. Atul Anand IAS, Additional Chief Secretary to Government, MSME, TN.

The initiative aims at helping students from 2,000 higher education institutions annually, and will be implemented with an outlay of ₹19.57 crore over five years. It targets training 30.5 lakh students in entrepreneurship and innovation.
